moonalice 4/3/09 = first twitter live concert?

on friday night i'll be working with moonalice to have them twitter their CD release show. as far as we know, this is the first time it's been done and should be fun! press release here http://www.fanmanager.net/news/154

what is chickenfoot?

as part of the overall digital strategy we're doing for chickenfoot, check out the first videos and hip embeddable widget. this, and more, at chickenfoot.us.

www.bobdylan.com/conversation

it's a great thing to see bob himself embrace the immediacy of the 'net to share this conversation/qa directly w/ fans amidst a plethora of traditional media. to be able to be part of that process is just great, esp when the starting point a year ago was just hoping he'd see the web site in the first place.

this conversation about the new album will be released in chapters over the coming days/weeks.

davematthewsband.com launch

it's been a while coming but the phase 1 launch of the new www.davematthewsband.com site has arrived! another PROD/Chime drupal / flash hybrid site, this one has a whole lot of music under its hood so make sure you click on that note icon and take a listen. phase 1 is basic functionality and we have some exciting community components planned for phase 2. can't tell you much more than that for now!

have some mad drupal skillz? come work with us...

I'm looking to bring in a motivated and high functioning programmer to work on some Drupal (PHP-based CMS) projects for high-profile artists. We'll be continuing to do cutting edge work and will have a blast doing it. General web technologies (Mysql, CSS, Javascript, DHTML, etc) are all plusses, of course.

Also, drop a note to falcon (at) chime.com if you'll be at DrupalCon DC (Mar 4-7) and we can meet up!

hardly strictly bluegrass

in

hardly strictly bluegrass 8 (http://www.hardlystrictlybluegrass/) took place in oct of last year and is the 8th installment of this amazing FREE festival in golden gate park that is paid for by warren hellman as a gift to the city (and, as he likes to say, his own selfish desire to see great music) and produced by the amazing folks at slims/gamh and sheri/ryan @ mercenary productions.

chickenfoot widget

so a week ago i spent the day with the guys in chickenfoot and they were very accomodating in my request to have them say "chickenfoot" a hundreds times each as part of the first phase announcement of the band to the world. these guys each have a huge history bringing the rAWK but they are also really fun folks to be around and we had a blast. so, what's the point?

disable pathauto's default behaviour to recompute pathalias on every node edit

i don't know about you, but on sites where i set custom pathaliases for page nodes it becomes a problem when the site is handed off to someone else to admin and then forget to uncheck that box so the custom pathalias gets lost and links to that page then go 404. since i want to have root-level pathaliases, it's not easy to control via the standard pathauto settings.

beastie boys site launch

we're stoked to announce the launch of the new mini site for the beastie boys' 20th anniversary re-mastered release of paul's boutique! a sick flash front end (kudos as always to PROD) to a drupal core. lots of stuff hidden on a page. go upload your paul's boutique era photo and story to the site and pick up your embeddable trading card today!
